Well, I've finished the last episode of "Fullmetal Alchemist" yesterday. A-and I've broken my own taboo - made a fanart piece %). It is a very quick sketch, done roughly - but I couldn't refrain from doing that
 Sometimes I feel a big desire to draw anime characters in a more "realistic" way - it's a kind of investigation for me: how would they look if they were real human (a boy of 15 in this case). But when you start making their eyes smaller and their faces more natural, they usually stop being recognisable %). So - you have to find a balance between anime-ness and real-ness. I am usually not satisfied with my own results, but I enjoy the process very much. Done with watercolour. Characters (c) Hiromu Arakawa. |
